These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Nasaan app (“Nasaan,” “the app,” “we,” “us”). By downloading or using Nasaan, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
The short version
- Nasaan helps you remember where you put your things. Use it for your own lawful, personal purposes.
- Nasaan Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription on iPhone (billing by Apple, may start with a free trial, renews until you cancel). The Android app is free — there is no subscription.
- Your data is yours — see our Privacy Policy for how it’s handled.
- The app is provided “as is,” and you’re responsible for keeping your own backups of important information.
1. Using Nasaan
You may use Nasaan only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You agree not to misuse the app — for example, by attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, abuse the voice/AI features, or use them to process content you don’t have the right to.
2. Your content
The items, locations, notes, and photos you add are yours. You’re responsible for what you store in the app and for having the right to store it. We don’t claim ownership of your content. How your content is stored and processed is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Nasaan Plus subscription (iPhone)
Nasaan Plus applies to the iPhone (iOS) app only. The Android app is free and has no subscription or in-app purchase.
- What it unlocks: Smart Filipino voice and other Plus features described in the app.
- Pricing: shown in the app before you purchase, in your local currency (e.g. ₱30 / month or ₱300 / year in the Philippines).
- Free trial: where offered, a free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and your Apple Account is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing & cancelling: manage or cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Billing: purchases are processed by Apple under its terms; we don’t see or store your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple.
4. AI voice features
On iPhone, Smart Filipino voice sends a short audio clip to our secure server and our AI provider to transcribe your request; usage may be rate-limited per device to keep the service sustainable. On Android, voice uses your phone’s built-in speech recognizer and is not sent to our servers. On either platform, speech recognition may not always be accurate — please review what the app saves.
5. Availability & changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the app over time. We may also update these Terms; if we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
6. Disclaimers
Nasaan is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will always correctly recall where you put something. Keep your own backups of anything important (the app includes export/backup tools).
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
8. App store terms
iPhone (App Store): unless you have a separate written agreement with us, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these Terms and that EULA conflict for App Store downloads, these Terms govern the Nasaan-specific points to the extent permitted.
Android (Google Play): your download and use are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
